These terms apply to all services provided by FaradayX Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”) to clients (“you”, “your”).
1. Scope of Services
We offer construction, renovation, Faraday room installation, interior design, and project management services. Full project scope and responsibilities will be confirmed in writing before commencement. We work with a trusted network of self-employed, fully insured professionals. All work is coordinated and managed under FaradayX to ensure quality, compliance, and accountability.
2. Estimates vs. Quotations
We provide initial estimates free of charge to give you a general cost idea based on preliminary information.
Detailed written quotations, including breakdowns of work and materials, are available for a separate, non-refundable fee — this is deductible from your final invoice if the project proceeds.
A quotation only becomes binding once confirmed in writing by us.
3. Acceptance & Deposits
Once a quote is accepted in writing, a deposit of 25–50% (depending on the scope) is required to secure your booking and begin scheduling.
Full payment terms will be outlined in your agreement.
4. Client Responsibilities
Clients must:
Provide accurate and complete project information during consultation
Grant site access during agreed working hours
Make timely decisions and approve material selections to avoid delays
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the client is responsible for obtaining all necessary permissions (e.g., freeholder consent, planning permission, and building regulations).
If FaradayX is appointed for full project management, we can handle applications and liaison with relevant authorities on your behalf. However, the client remains responsible for any third-party fees, legal compliance, or landlord-specific requirements unless explicitly covered in our agreement.
5. Delays & Access
We aim to complete all work on schedule, but certain delays may arise beyond our control. We are not liable for any delays caused by:
Limited or denied access to the property
Delays in third-party deliveries or materials
Weather-related disruptions
Utility company delays (e.g. water, gas, electricity)
Labour shortages or supplier disruptions
Government-imposed restrictions or decisions (e.g. lockdowns, planning hold-ups, political unrest)
Public health emergencies or declared pandemics, including travel restrictions or forced shutdowns — regardless of validity or later reevaluation
Policy changes, legislation shifts, or planning regulation updates impacting the project timeline
Any delays due to the above may result in a necessary adjustment to the agreed timeline. In such cases, we will communicate clearly and work with you to reschedule as efficiently as possible.
6. Payments
Payment is due as agreed in your project schedule.
Late payments may incur interest at 2% per month.
We reserve the right to pause works until overdue payments are resolved.
7. Cancellations & Refunds
If you cancel before the start date, we may retain a portion of the deposit to cover administrative or preparation costs.
If cancelled mid-project, we reserve the right to bill for work completed, materials ordered, and any restocking fees.
8. Warranties
FaradayX offers a 5-Year Workmanship Warranty on all construction work carried out by our team. This warranty applies exclusively to labor, structural integrity, and construction quality, covering any defects or issues arising from faults in our workmanship for a period of five years from the date of project completion.
This warranty does not cover materials, we strongly encourage the use of high-quality materials to ensure the best and most durable results. Additionally, the following are excluded from coverage:
Manufacturer defects or product-related issues
Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or lack of proper maintenance
Alterations, repairs, or tampering by unauthorised parties
Normal wear and tear
By choosing to work with FaradayX, clients acknowledge and accept these warranty terms. We are committed to delivering the highest standards of craftsmanship and stand by the quality of our work.
9. Liability
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or losses caused by:
Delays due to third-party suppliers or utility services
Failure to obtain proper permissions
Structural or hidden issues not visible at the time of inspection
Our maximum liability is limited to the total amount paid under your contract.
10. Force Majeure
We will not be held liable for delays or failures resulting from unforeseen events beyond our control (e.g. extreme weather, supplier shortages, civil unrest, government restrictions).
11. Dispute Resolution
We aim to resolve any concerns amicably. If not possible, disputes will be handled under the laws of England and Wales in the relevant courts.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by UK law. By proceeding with any service, you acknowledge you have read and accepted these terms.
